How to prevent breakage
- Avoid sticky/chewy items such as gum, carmels, starburst. These stick to wires and will break brackets/bands.
- Avoid hard/brittle items such as hard pretzels, ice cubes, hard candies. These items will bend and break wires as well as brackets and bands.
- Do not bite and pull into foods such as pizza, apples, raw carrots, and bagels. Cut foods like these up and chew with your back teeth to prevent broken wires and/or brackets/bands.
